What in the world is the Marine Diving Fair?
This year marks the 26th Marine Diving Fair, where people who love the ocean go for information on diving and beach resorts in Japan and abroad.
What’s it all about? What will I find if I go? Well, let us tell you just a few of the interesting and amazing things you can see and do at the Marine Diving Fair.

The Marine Diving Fair, where the crowds gather!
Diving guides and resort staff from the Maldives, Tahiti, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Mexico, New Caledonia, and other hot diving destinations will be there . . . in person. So you can get the latest information from those in the know. Overseas spots closer to Japan include Guam, Saipan, Tinian, and Rota. Or you may want to check out Japan’s great at Ishigaki, Iriomote, Kerama, and Kume islands in Okinawa, or the Ogasawaras just south of Tokyo. Travel agencies and diving services from all these places will be manning booths at the fair. Just walk around. You’ll see a whole world of diving possibilities.

The Okinawa booth is one of the most popular. Pikaryaa the mountain cat from Iriomote island made an appearance.
Camera companies will show off their high-tech goodies and present seminars on underwater photography.

Marine Diving Fair? That’s just for scuba divers, right? Non-divers’ll be bored, right? Wrong! If you love the ocean, you’ll love the Marine Diving Fair.
If you think you’d like to try scuba diving, then there’s plenty of information on how to go about getting certified, right there at the Marine Diving Fair. There are even fun places for kids to play. The Marine Diving Fair is fun for the whole family.
A whole lineup of mascot characters will be on hand to entertain the kids.
Curious about how to get started in diving? Go to the PADI booth and find out from one of the world’s leaders in diving instruction.
In snorkeling corner, equipments for women designed by Ayaka Fukuma were exbitioned. It was introduced in magazine "La SCUBA".

The Marine Diving Fair began with the idea of helping everyone appreciate how beautiful and wonderful our oceans really are, so we organized an exhibit of professional photographs.
You can take in the best of the best marine photography at the blue Earth Underwater Photo Contest Winners Exhibition and other exhibits by leading photographers. Come to the fair in Ikebukuro Tokyo, and you’ll feel like you’ve been on a South Pacific getaway!
